BRAINFOG

Lancing-based site for ME sufferers world-wide. The site is run by Ally Petty, who has lived in Lancing and Sompting since she was about 2. Whilst studying in her first year of Sixth Form at Boundstone, she became ill with what is now known as ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis). Thanks to the invaluable understanding of some teachers at the time, she was able to take the time out, and was able to go back and study both part-time at Boundstone and Northbrook respectively which allowed her to work on her recovery without compromising the future.

The original site entitled ME Friends is a homepage of sorts where people can come and read her story, find links to other ME websites globally, and more.

But the BRAINFOG!! forum and chatroom (named after the baffling foggy brain symptom …..) is where all the action is at. Ally first launched BRAINFOG!! back in August of 2001 and it has since gone on to become one of the most popular forum and chat rooms on the internet for this illness. They currently have over 300 members from all around the world, a number which is growing by the day with hundreds of posts being made daily from the serious to the light hearted.
