SOMPTING VILLAGE HALL Sompting Village Hall was built by Henry Crofts in 1889 as reading and recreation rooms for the community. In 1950 it was gifted by his grandson Major Guy Tristram to the village, to provide local people with facilities for education, training, recreation, social and community activities and entertainment. The hall underwent a major refurbishment in 2006. We are located in West Street, Sompting, almost opposite Sompting Recreation Ground. We provide premises for training, recreation and development for organisations and individuals based in Sompting and its immediate vicinity. The Hall’s current regular user bodies include a nursery school, Sompting Women's Institute, model railway societies, dance clubs and other local recreational groups. The hall is also available for occasional and one-off use, such as for wedding receptions, meetings and exhibitions. Entertainment licence held. Terms and hire charges are available from the Hall Manager and are on our website. Help with committee work needed. The Village Hall has a large car park, and excellent
kitchen facilities Contact for Sompting Village Hall: Mrs Barbara
