There
is a County Library in Penstone Park, adjacent to the Health Centre. There is
a small car park at the rear, including disabled spaces, but no on-road parking.
There is a comprehensive range of books to borrow, a children's section, and an
extensive reference section. There is also a small IT suite for access to the
Internet.
Lancing Library also has a Storytime Club for the Under 5's. It is free, and members are given a starter pack containing a membership card, sticker and bookmark. Sessions take place on Thursdays between 11.00am and 11.30am. There is also an IT Zone, with Internet and Email access, and Microsoft Office applications. Fax facilities and colour photocopying are also available. A mobile Library visits the area on alternate Wednesdays, service number 3. There are three stops: West Way (South Lancing) 11.35-12.30, the Sussex Potter, Manor Road (North Lancing) 2.55-3.30, and the Abbott of Sompting, Halewick Lane (Sompting) 3.40-4.10. Further information on this service can be found on the West Sussex website, or telephone 01903 743075. |
